Hey Gang,
Is the Cockatrice as useless as it seems? I mean changing opponents into walls, at least with the creatures I have now, sounds a lot more annoying than helpful. If in a forest I really doubt I have many creatures that could overcome those 60+ hps!

I always used to think so too in the beginning, but no- the cockatrice has many many uses-
1- Cockatrice + Battering Ram = Instant Death
2- Using Cockatrice can nullify a lot of effects, i.e that Level 5 Old Willow that you are quickly approaching can be a little less horrifying when turned into a Pillar of Flame- same goes for Kelpie/Wall of Ice. It will also nullify the idols, the boost creatures and demasculate the oft-annoying territorry abilities of Witch, Hyde, Spitting Cobra, Domovikha and Tetramorph.
3- If you play with a Basilisk/Medusa/Turn to the Wall Deck you can have lots of devastating fun using "Elemental Fury", " "Acid Rain" and "Insect Swarm"- then follow the destruction with the mana reaping Incineration.
Loads of Fun and Quite Useful!

I usually try to use them in defense.

The cockatrice's special abilities are nice, however a "Turn to Wall" magic card does the same thing and is a lot easier to use.
I personally love the "turn to wall" card. Very very useful in dealing with global effect creatures and other creatures such as decoys and nikes that can be hard to invade against.

Try using the item Luna Stone with your Cockatrice (or with Succubus). This combo should destroy any wall, statue, or creature with 10-60+ HP (& without 'first attack'), instantly!
